The Gospel is the good news of how man can be right with God. It is this:
All of man is under the bondage of sin. All the evil, all the suffering, all the pain, all of this, was and is the result of our sin.
God is a holy God, and because we so freely submit and commit evil; whether it be sexual immorality, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil-mindedness, backbiting, hating God, violence, pride, boasting, inventing evil things, disobedience to parents; being undiscerning, unloving, unforgiving, unmerciful… (Romans 1) the list could go on. Every human being is guilty of one, if not many of these things. There are no “good people”, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. (Romans 3:23) Every man justly deserves the wrath of God (Romans 1:18) (Colossians 3:6) (2 Thess 1:9), who both is Holy and does not sacrifice his holiness for the sake of unholy people. (Isaiah 6:3) (Joshua 24: 19)
But “God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son” (John 3:16) God sent Jesus Christ down to earth, who lived a holy, sinless life (1 John 3:5) (Hebrews 7:26), to die at the cross for the sins of world. (1 Peter 2:24) (Hebrews (9:26) Jesus was the propitiation for our sins. (Romans 3:25) (Hebrews 2:17) (1 John 2:2) (1 John 4:10) He took the wrath of God that was justly deserved for us, on Himself. As unrighteous people, our sins could not be forgiven, but Christ died for us, so that through Him the wrath of God could pass over and our sins forgiven. (Colossians 1:14)
Whoever repents and believes has this salvation. (John 3:16) (Acts 2:38) (Acts 3:19) (Acts 8:37) Salvation from sin (Romans 6:18,22) (Romans 8:2) (Galations 1:4), salvation from the wrath of God (Romans 3:25), and salvation that leads to everlasting life. (John 3:16) (John 3:36) (John 5:24)
If you do not believe in Christ Jesus, I exhort you, repent and believe! For John 3:36 says:
He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.
You see, if you do not have Christ as the propitiation for your sins, if you do not have Him living in your life, if you do not believe, the wrath of God is upon you and salvation is not yours.
This is the most important choice you shall ever make in your life. What will you decide?
